When these elbows wear, you’re warned
With proprietary technology built directly into the coating of a ceramic coated elbow, WearSmart™ provides an external alert whenever the interior of the elbow has been significantly degraded due to abrasion. This removes all guesswork about the state of your conveying elbow and provides ample warning when it needs to be replaced—preventing unexpected blowouts and allowing you to plan for replacements and limit downtime.
How WearSmart™ works
A lead wire is placed under the coating of our ceramic-coated, abrasion-resistant elbows. The lead is connected to a control box placed outside the elbow that has a clearly visible indicator light. When the wear reaches the lead wire, a signal is sent to the control box, turning on the red indicator light. Once the light comes on, you know it’s time to order a new elbow and start planning for the replacement downtime.
Benefits of using WearSmart™ elbows
WearSmart™ gives you real-time info on the state of wear within your ceramic coated abrasion resistant elbows, allowing you to plan for the cost of replacement parts and downtime well in advance. Plus, you’ll easily be able to prevent blowouts thanks to knowing the lifespan of your elbows.
• Prevent blowouts and potential product loss
• Manage costs & downtime
• Peace of mind
